home goods!

I always LOVE receiving packages! So, when one arrived on my doorstep last Monday, I quickly ripped it open, like a kid on Christmas morning. Inside, so lovingly wrapped was an anchor and the Eiffel Tower from monkeyandsquirrel, a wonderful shop operated by Jenn! When browsing her etsy you'll find so many great things including, cast iron horse hooks, roosters, elephants and things from the sea. Well made and incredibly cute, I'll be back for more magical home accessories in no time!

harvest days

With the weather turning cooler, what's a girl to do? Head to the local farmers market with her friends, of course. Detroit Easter Market is one of the best places to spend a lazy Saturday afternoon.

aches

I woke up today feeling a strange aching. Thinking about Russia, my home. Funny, how you never stop missing a place and that time in your life. Homesickness, but not really a physical place. Like an uprooted tree I feel alien in a lot of ways. Two years ago, in June, my wish of going back finally materialized. I was on a train to Moscow. This is the first photo I took through the window glass. My dear friend Amy, was my sole witness and I will forever be grateful to her for being there.

She talks like a sailor

I don't have a single tattoo, but I like to admire them from a distance. I love this little collection of vintage images.
