my first encounter with a gator!
Hello from the dirty south! Florida is heavenly right now. I got just 5 feet from these creatures on my trip to the spooky marshes of the Everglades. The gators roam freely in these parts. They seem frozen and sinister, giving the impression of being plastic. I was curious to know the difference between gators and crocks. The main difference seems to be the jaw and the teeth. What you are looking at here is the American Alligator.

I was disappointed not to see any gators during my trip to SC to see my mom over the holidays. They have them in their neighborhood but she said they don't really come out in the winter.
