Trees are some of the longest-lived organisms on the planet. Some of my favorite are birch trees, they seem like ghosts, with their striking white bark. In the summers, as a kid, I would disappear for hours mushroom picking and just walking around the endless white forests. Last year when I returned back to Russia, the first thing that
got me were those same trees. This is the house where I spent a few of those summers, we called it "dacha."
